Update!

Oh, I am such a bad blogger! Although in my defense I am looking after a tiny iccle baby which does take up most of my time.
I thought I would share a couple of layouts that have featured over on the Banana Frog blog, plus some up to date pictures of Jamie.
The layouts all have a variety of Banana Frog stamps used on them - Christening Cupcakes used Teen, That Takes the Cake, Take Note and Paperchains along with K&Co papers and a little die cut done with my Slice, Home At Last used Budmo Jiggler (my fave!), All About Hearts and All About Documenting, and last but not least on Chubby Cheeks I used Teen, Budmo Jiggler, All About Hearts, Take Note and the fake stiching around the edges was done with the flower stem stamp from Build a Bloom!

Here's some Jamie pics....

Awww, so cute (yes, I know I am biased!).

Introducing Jamie!

I do have an excuse for the lack of posts - as you can see from the pictures above I have been a little bit busy! Baby Jamie was born at 11.57pm on 23/1/09, weighing in at 10lb1oz (I know, I know, brings tears to your eyes doesn't it! Think how I felt ;-)). He is of course the most beautiful baby in the world ever, and quite possibly one of the most photographed too! He is just over 3 weeks old now and getting cuter everyday...expect to see lots of Jamie layouts soon (that is if I ever get chance to scrapbook again, of course!)
In other news, there is lots going on over at Banana Frog. Bev posted details of the new stamps being released here and I have to say I love all of them! I have got a couple of the new sets to play with, can't wait to start creating with them. We also have the challenge for February here and what else could it be but Love! Get using those Banana Frog stamps to create a layout, card, anything with a love theme and you could win TWO sets of BF stamps. Post your images on your blog and leave a comment on the BF blog, or post your pics to our Flickr or Facebook groups and Bev will pick a winner at the end of the month...
Lots of inspiration over at the BF blog from the new design team too...what are you waiting for!

Banana Frog Update!

Have just uploaded a new project to the Banana Frog blog. Go and have a look - there are a few new things on there from the Design Team, lots of inspiration heading your way!

The Studios

I was having a look through some layouts that I completed over the last 12 months (it didn't take that long - there weren't very many of them!) and realised that I hadn't blogged this one.

I was asked to take part in the Sketch Collection for issue 44 of Scrapbook Inspirations, and this is what I came up with. I used all patterned paper as my inspiration point and was quite pleased with how it turned out! Papers were from Basic Grey, Crate Paper, Scenic Route and Pink Paislee, Heidi Swapp chipboard letters for the title and Banana Frog Take Note stamps for the journalling.

Winter Wonderland - Banana Frog

It's been ages since I uploaded anything to the Banana Frog blog (shame on me!), I seem to have been completely without inspiration for months now. I managed this one with one of my lovely snowy pics from earlier in the week though! More details here ...

Journal Your Christmas 2008

Yes, it's that time of year again! I am going to be joining in with Shimelles online class to Journal Your Christmas again this year. I dug out last years Christmas Journal a few days ago and was amazed to see that I got up to the 29th December! I have taken pictures of the whole thing so will try to upload those to show you soon.
I thought I would set up a new blog just for Christmas Journal stuff (plus I had a cute new digi kit that I wanted to use!) which you can find here.
Hopefully I will be able to keep up to date via the blog and then catch up with the scrapping if I don't manage to do it on the day. Come over and say hello!

More cards...

All the cards I made last week have reached their intended recipients now so I can share them! I used K&Co papers and butterfly and a Cuttlebug borders embossing folder for this birthday card for my sister. I also used one of my new Inkadinkado stamps on the envelope which you might just be able to see under the card...
Thankyou card using the Swiss Dots embossing folder, Cuttlebug dies for the flowers and stamp shape and a Banana Frog stamp from the Flowery Thoughts set...

Another Thankyou card using K&Co papers, (got to use all those pads up!) scallop circle and inner circle cut on Craft Robo and embossed with Spots and Dots folder, tag cut from the Tiny Tags die set, and I used the font from Banana Frogs Paperchains set to stamp on the tag.
Have got an idea in my head for some Christmas cards too, must get on with those!

Happy Birthday Me! A bit late though - it was last week, but I am now the owner of a Cuttlebug so I have been trying my hand at making some cards this week. I can only show you one so far as I gave it to my Mum and Dad last night so I won't be spoiling the surprise, LOL! It's just a little thank you card for my birthday present, I have used some K&Co papers, the D'Vine and Swiss Dots embossing folders, Cuttlebug scalloped square die, and the "Thanks" stamp from Banana Frogs Flowery Thoughts set.
Speaking of Banana Frog, there have been some changes over there! The Banana Frog website is now trade only, but you can find a list of suppliers here. Also, the search is on for some new Design Team members, you can find all the details here. Come and join us, you have plenty of time to get your entries in, the closing date is 31st December. Good Luck!

Slide...

Wow, get me - two posts in one week! I actually managed another layout, this one features my lovely neice Georgina enjoying herself on the slide in her back garden back in August. Please note the lovely sunglasses that she kept on pretty much ALL day!

I have used some K&Co Berry Sweet papers, Prima flowers, AC Remarks stickers, MM Tiny Alphas, buttons and a liberal amount of glitter from my new glitter pen on the flowers and the little acrylic journalling spot!

Introducing Daniel...

I had a weeks holiday from work last week so I actually managed to get some scrapping done. (which was not that easy I can tell you - we are in the middle of a loft conversion here and the place is like a building site! Should be finished soon, fingers crossed!)

I have a new scrapping subject - my nephew Daniel, born 27/7/08. He has just turned 12 weeks old and you can really see the difference in these pictures!

This was Daniel on his first day home from the hospital, have used Crate Paper (Cowboy?), Heidi Swapp chipboard alpha's, MM journalling pad, and Mindys Zoo stamps.

Here's Daniel having learnt a new trick - pulling his tongue out! So cute! And last but not least, we had a bit of a photo shoot last week but silly Auntie Tricia didn't check what ISO the camera was set on (this is what happens when I try to be clever and shoot in aperture priority mode) so consequently the pictures were all a bit noisy. Still, at 2x2 inch and black and white they look OK!

Not my best work, but it's just nice to be doing some scrapping again after so long!

The Race

Well, I said I would share so here it is! Scuse the crappy pictures, it is pretty cloudy here at the moment so trying to get a decent shot was hard work!
Pictures are of my niece Georgina racing her Uncle Steve to the end of the drive (although I'm not sure that Uncle Steve was really taking the race very seriously, LOL!). Georgina was detemined to win and was pedalling away like her life depended on it....
I used Prima Dude papers, I'm loving all the bright colours at the moment! American Crafts Thickers in Jewellery Box and Queen and Co Felt Fusion to finish it off.
And just in case you couldn't see it properly on the layout - here is a picture of Georgina's "determined" face! Oooh, can't wait to show that to her first boyfriend!

My latest project...

Or should that be "our" latest project - I don't think I could have managed it on my own! 18 weeks today (the picture above is from the 1st scan at 13 weeks). Unfortunately I seem to be suffering from pregnancy induced lack of mojo, LOL, but I have managed to scrap my first layout in months today so I will have to try and take a piccy tomorrow so I can share it with you!

Cards!

Inspiration seems to be a bit thin on the ground for me at the moment, but I managed to make these cards with some of my new Banana Frog stamps.... I used That Takes The Cake, Teen Tiny Full Set, and Paperchains stamps.
A little bit of Stickles for some of the icing!
I also tried out my new watercolour pencils - £6.00 from Tesco! I thought I had better try some out first and see if I used them before I splashed out on some expensive ones!
