Just Married!

LOL, well, not really - 8 years this year! This is a LO I did for Banana Frog, I thought I would see if I could use my Take Note journalling stamps to make a nice frame for the picture - love how it turned out!
I really like these colours at the moment, especially when combined with the old book print...

Watching the world go by...

Picture of my mum and dad enjoying an afternoon in Celebration, Florida. It's a great place to just people watch and see how the other half live!
I was struggling a bit with inspiration today so I thought I would just keep it simple - have mainly used bits from the Studio Calico May kit with the addition of some felt Thickers and a few Making Memories flowers and tags.
It's been so hot today I have almost felt like I was back in Florida! Shame we don't have the same air conditioning though!

A busy week!

Apologies for the lack of regular blogging - it's been a busy week! Hopefully I will have time to do some scrapping tomorrow, I have a lovely Studio Calico kit here waiting for me...

Used some more bits from Aprils Scrapagogo kit for this one - Cinderella's Castle by night, all lit up in pink! I thought it would be ideal for this dotty Making Memories paper. I also used some Queen & Co felt ribbon and some MM chipboard buttons. I used Banana Frog Paperchain stamps for the title - thought I would keep the title quite small as it just looked too much when I tried it with some bigger chipboard letters!

Tenerife...

I just about managed to complete this layout in between painting what felt like the WHOLE house in the last two days (although it was only the living room, stairs and landing really!). Still, it will be nice to feel that we have actually achieved something over the bank holiday weekend for a change!
I love these two pictures - they are just two of many that I took at the mini golf place across the road from the hotel. The colours are so vivid and summery - look at that blue sky!
I used up some Basic Grey monogram die cuts that I have had for ages, a couple of them didn't really match the colours I wanted so I inked them to make them fit better. I then distressed the edges with my nify little BG precision file set. I used KI lace cardstock that came in Aprils Scrapagogo kit, and the Scenic Route paper was from the month before! A bit of Heidi Swapp tape, some MM tags and flowers and I of course I had to use the new stamps I picked up at the Range the other day (99p! Bargain!).

My First Published Layout!

Well, I guess I can blog this layout now that the May issue of Scrapbook Inspirations is out! I submitted this a couple of months ago and was really pleased that it was accepted for the readers gallery!
Look! I am a new face! LOL! I'm not sure if you can read the print on the photo but the pictures were from a walk round our local country park last September. I used Bazzil Bling cardstock (which looks great but is really difficult to get things to stick to!), the tree and label were cut on the Craft Robo using digital brushes as a template, (Katie Pertiet Holiday Trees and Jennifer Pebbles Swank Labels) the leaves were also cut on the CR from Basic Grey papers, Heidi Swapp chipboard letters and finally some little crystals!
I was also asked if they could feature my blog, so of course I said yes! So hello to anyone who has found my blog through Scrapbook Inspirations - hope you like it!

Not in my family!

We came across this book in a shop in Downtown Disney and of course I had to take a picture! Tongue firmly in cheek, of course ;-)
I used some of my lovely Jenni Bowlin stash from Banana Frog, Budmo Jiggler stamps for the title and Funky Flowers and Take Note stamped on to old book pages (and believe me, it was very hard for me to rip pages out of a book, even if it was an old one!)

And it's Bank Holiday weekend - always nice to look forward to that extra day off work!
