Prompts for this week were buttons, pink and congratulations. Again, I didn't have a congratulations stamp so went with Celebrate instead! I also managed to use one of my new sets of nesties and one of my new stamps from Waltzingmouse that arrived this week too...

Yep, still using up the Prima! This card is completely different to the one that was in my head when I started it. I just couldn't get it to look right! There comes a point though where you have to just stop sticking things down and call it a day...
I used Labels 4 and Lacey Squares nesties, Prima Paisley Road notecards, papers and flowers. The sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts.

Here's another little Tiddly Inker - coloured with Promarkers. and I also printed it through my Craft Robo software and used the auto trace feature to cut it out. The Craft Robo makes a much better job of cutting these things out than I do!

*waves madly* Hello to anyone who found their way here from the Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz! It's my first time joining in, I'm a recent convert to Waltzingmouse stamps and I LOVE them! I only have one set so far, but perhaps when the first pay day of 2011 rolls around next week I might be able to treat myself...

This was absolutely by far my favourite layout from 2010! I was totally inspired by a layout by Nichol Magouirk using lots of Silhouette dies cuts, and as I can use those with my Craft Robo too I thought I would give it a go. Papers and puffy letter stickers are American Crafts. I'm not sure if you can read the journalling on the page but it is just detailing Jamie's latest words as he was starting to talk more and more in August 2010 - mainly about cars, dig digs and books!

Here's a little card using the cute little froggy from the Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge (blimey, try saying that three times fast!).

While browsing through some blogs I came across Paper and Ribbons and thought I would join in with a little challenge - to make a card or tag using embossing, lilac and yellow. Here's mine...

I embossed the pearlised yellow card with my Cuttlebug swiss dots folder. The label is from Nestabilities Labels 4, and the stamps are from WaltzingMouse / Hero Arts. I used milled lavender distress ink (so not quite lilac, but never mind!) and a couple of little flowers from my stash.

A layout from last year, with pictures taken the year before! It's a good job I don't worry about falling behind with my scrapbooks ha ha! Here's Jamie thoroughly enjoying himself with a box, a cardboard tube and a remote control. Patterned papers are American Crafts, loopy border using a Martha Stewart punch, dinosaur from the Create a Critter cricut cartridge.

I actually didn't take many photo's on Christmas Day, I was busy helping the boy to open his presents in the morning and then spent quite a lot of time in the kitchen preparing and cooking Christmas dinner! Never mind, I got a few, and was particularly fond of the one in the middle of this layout, I think I had asked him for a smile and this is what I got in return!

The journaling reads as follows..."Christmas Day 2010 – Jamie was not quite two so still not entirely sure what was going on, but after we had all opened the first couple of presents together he definitely got into the swing of things! Father Christmas brought lots of cars, Special Agent Oso toys, Mickey and friends from our Disney trip earlier in the month, and lots of other little bits and pieces. Grandma Irene gave him a toy garage and a desk, and Grandma Phil and Grandad Alan gave him a Martian Moon House, complete with rocket ship and moon mobile!"

I used some Echo Park Wintertime papers, die cut snowflakes and the title was cut on my Craft Robo from a Silhouette design.

I managed to find a few pictures of some Christmas cards that I made months ago on my hard drive, and I also still have a couple of cards that I liked too much to giveaway, so I thought this would be my last opportunity to share them before the New Year!

The first one is my favourite - really simple to make too! I used my nesties to cut a piece of white cardstock, and then left the nestie in place to use as a stencil while I coloured the card with Victorian Velvet distress ink. I stamped and embossed the reindeer (it's an Inkadinkado stamp I borrowed from my Mum!) and then embellished it with some teeny tiny gemstones. I punched the corners and added another couple of gemstones and that was all done...

For the next card I thought I would have a go at using some Nesties to make the card base, and then I also made a little frame and raised it up using some sticky pads, and finished off with a couple of premade embellishments I had in my stash (think they might be Papermania ones?)

This one was another really simple one, just a couple of different nesties, another borrowed stamp, some embossing and distress inks.

And last but not least, a couple of cards using some Tiddly Inks Christmas images and promarkers to colour.

Of course, I don't have any pictures of all the cards that I really liked as they were the ones that got used for the most part! I started messing about with Christmas cards in about September, and by the time we got to December I had really got into the groove and invested in more distress inks and borrowed lots of stamps from my Mum too! I did enjoy making them though, and that's the main thing. Still, next year I will remember to take pictures then I can remember them when they have been sent!

As it's almost the end of the year I thought I would try a little blog post to see if I could still remember how to log in! I'm afraid there has been a shameful lack of blogging from me over the last few months, in my defence a small child and a new job have kept me fairly busy!
I've still been managing a fair bit of crafting, although I have turned my hand to card making a bit more than scrap booking at the moment, it's easier to make a card when you are short of time!
I made quite a lot of Christmas cards this year which was a first for me, of course I didn't manage to take any pictures of them to share before I actually sent them. Never mind, will try and remember that next year!
I would like to say that I will make it my New Years Resolution to blog a bit more often, but I don't want to set myself up for a fall ha ha!

Thought I would share a couple of cards that I have made recently.

We are expecting the arrival of our new baby niece anyday soon, so the pink owl card and matching gift bag are ready and waiting for her! The sleepy owl was cut on my Cricut from the Create a Critter cartridge, and the papers were from my stash - I think the little birdy paper was from Sassafrass and I seem to remember I bought this when I first started scrapbooking, so it is nice to finally use it! Hopefully I will be able to add the baby's name to the card somewhere once it has been announced!
The second one is for another friend of ours who is due in about a month, but she has decided not to find out the flavour before hand! I thought greens and yellows would be OK for this one as they will suit either a boy or a girl. The giraffe and kite are also from the Create a Critter cartridge, and the Hello Sweet Baby sentiment was cut on the Craft Robo from a Silhouette template. Paper from my stash - think it is mostly K&Co on here!
