Happy Birthday Me! A bit late though - it was last week, but I am now the owner of a Cuttlebug so I have been trying my hand at making some cards this week. I can only show you one so far as I gave it to my Mum and Dad last night so I won't be spoiling the surprise, LOL! It's just a little thank you card for my birthday present, I have used some K&Co papers, the D'Vine and Swiss Dots embossing folders, Cuttlebug scalloped square die, and the "Thanks" stamp from Banana Frogs Flowery Thoughts set.
Speaking of Banana Frog, there have been some changes over there! The Banana Frog website is now trade only, but you can find a list of suppliers here. Also, the search is on for some new Design Team members, you can find all the details here. Come and join us, you have plenty of time to get your entries in, the closing date is 31st December. Good Luck!
Slide...
Wow, get me - two posts in one week! I actually managed another layout, this one features my lovely neice Georgina enjoying herself on the slide in her back garden back in August. Please note the lovely sunglasses that she kept on pretty much ALL day!

I have used some K&Co Berry Sweet papers, Prima flowers, AC Remarks stickers, MM Tiny Alphas, buttons and a liberal amount of glitter from my new glitter pen on the flowers and the little acrylic journalling spot!
Introducing Daniel...
I had a weeks holiday from work last week so I actually managed to get some scrapping done. (which was not that easy I can tell you - we are in the middle of a loft conversion here and the place is like a building site! Should be finished soon, fingers crossed!)
This was Daniel on his first day home from the hospital, have used Crate Paper (Cowboy?), Heidi Swapp chipboard alpha's, MM journalling pad, and Mindys Zoo stamps.

I have a new scrapping subject - my nephew Daniel, born 27/7/08. He has just turned 12 weeks old and you can really see the difference in these pictures!

Here's Daniel having learnt a new trick - pulling his tongue out! So cute!
And last but not least, we had a bit of a photo shoot last week but silly Auntie Tricia didn't check what ISO the camera was set on (this is what happens when I try to be clever and shoot in aperture priority mode) so consequently the pictures were all a bit noisy. Still, at 2x2 inch and black and white they look OK!
Not my best work, but it's just nice to be doing some scrapping again after so long!
The Race
Well, I said I would share so here it is! Scuse the crappy pictures, it is pretty cloudy here at the moment so trying to get a decent shot was hard work!Pictures are of my niece Georgina racing her Uncle Steve to the end of the drive (although I'm not sure that Uncle Steve was really taking the race very seriously, LOL!). Georgina was detemined to win and was pedalling away like her life depended on it....
I used Prima Dude papers, I'm loving all the bright colours at the moment! American Crafts Thickers in Jewellery Box and Queen and Co Felt Fusion to finish it off.
And just in case you couldn't see it properly on the layout - here is a picture of Georgina's "determined" face! Oooh, can't wait to show that to her first boyfriend! My latest project...

Or should that be "our" latest project - I don't think I could have managed it on my own! 18 weeks today (the picture above is from the 1st scan at 13 weeks). Unfortunately I seem to be suffering from pregnancy induced lack of mojo, LOL, but I have managed to scrap my first layout in months today so I will have to try and take a piccy tomorrow so I can share it with you!
Cards!
Inspiration seems to be a bit thin on the ground for me at the moment, but I managed to make these cards with some of my new Banana Frog stamps....
I used That Takes The Cake, Teen Tiny Full Set, and Paperchains stamps.
A little bit of Stickles for some of the icing!
I also tried out my new watercolour pencils - £6.00 from Tesco! I thought I had better try some out first and see if I used them before I splashed out on some expensive ones!

Terracotta Army
OK, so I started off with a layout instead! Picture is from inside the Reflections of China exhibition at Epcot - we wanted to watch the 3D film but unfortunately they were having technical difficulties!Papers are from Basic Grey and Making Memories. Alpha's are Scenic Route and Heidi Swapp, and I used a Prima crystal swirl (I cut it in half to make it go a bit further!).
I also used some of my new stamps from Banana Frog - the dotty circle is from Concentric.
I know, I know, I'm a bad blogger! Sometimes life gets in the way of scrapbooking, LOL! I've nothing to share with you today but I have just had a lovely delivery from Banana Frog with some new stamps for me to play with, so fingers crossed I will get something done this weekend! Maybe I will start out small....a few cards? Work my way up to a layout? Watch this space!
Under the Boardwalk...
...down by the sea! Well, not really the sea, more of a lake, but it was close enough for me! Pictures are from our January trip to Orlando back in 2006, it was soooo nice to get away from the horrible british weather (although there were a couple of days when we had to get bundled up in fleeces and woolly hats, it was still better than being at home!)I have used some more of the lovely Jenni Bowlin papers from Banana Frog, along with Budmo Jiggler and Teen Tiny Full Set stamps for the title and the journalling. I managed to squeeze a bit of bling on there too, I used my Bejeweller to stick the crystals onto the chipboard swirls!
Free P&P at Banana Frog this weekend too - finishes tonight!Just Married!
LOL, well, not really - 8 years this year! This is a LO I did for Banana Frog, I thought I would see if I could use my Take Note journalling stamps to make a nice frame for the picture - love how it turned out!
I really like these colours at the moment, especially when combined with the old book print...
Watching the world go by...
Picture of my mum and dad enjoying an afternoon in Celebration, Florida. It's a great place to just people watch and see how the other half live!I was struggling a bit with inspiration today so I thought I would just keep it simple - have mainly used bits from the Studio Calico May kit with the addition of some felt Thickers and a few Making Memories flowers and tags.
It's been so hot today I have almost felt like I was back in Florida! Shame we don't have the same air conditioning though!
A busy week!
Apologies for the lack of regular blogging - it's been a busy week! Hopefully I will have time to do some scrapping tomorrow, I have a lovely Studio Calico kit here waiting for me...

Used some more bits from Aprils Scrapagogo kit for this one - Cinderella's Castle by night, all lit up in pink! I thought it would be ideal for this dotty Making Memories paper. I also used some Queen & Co felt ribbon and some MM chipboard buttons.
I used Banana Frog Paperchain stamps for the title - thought I would keep the title quite small as it just looked too much when I tried it with some bigger chipboard letters!Tenerife...
I just about managed to complete this layout in between painting what felt like the WHOLE house in the last two days (although it was only the living room, stairs and landing really!). Still, it will be nice to feel that we have actually achieved something over the bank holiday weekend for a change!
I love these two pictures - they are just two of many that I took at the mini golf place across the road from the hotel. The colours are so vivid and summery - look at that blue sky!I used up some Basic Grey monogram die cuts that I have had for ages, a couple of them didn't really match the colours I wanted so I inked them to make them fit better. I then distressed the edges with my nify little BG precision file set. I used KI lace cardstock that came in Aprils Scrapagogo kit, and the Scenic Route paper was from the month before! A bit of Heidi Swapp tape, some MM tags and flowers and I of course I had to use the new stamps I picked up at the Range the other day (99p! Bargain!).
My First Published Layout!
Well, I guess I can blog this layout now that the May issue of Scrapbook Inspirations is out! I submitted this a couple of months ago and was really pleased that it was accepted for the readers gallery!
Look! I am a new face! LOL! I'm not sure if you can read the print on the photo but the pictures were from a walk round our local country park last September. I used Bazzil Bling cardstock (which looks great but is really difficult to get things to stick to!), the tree and label were cut on the Craft Robo using digital brushes as a template, (Katie Pertiet Holiday Trees and Jennifer Pebbles Swank Labels) the leaves were also cut on the CR from Basic Grey papers, Heidi Swapp chipboard letters and finally some little crystals!
I was also asked if they could feature my blog, so of course I said yes! So hello to anyone who has found my blog through Scrapbook Inspirations - hope you like it!
Not in my family!
We came across this book in a shop in Downtown Disney and of course I had to take a picture! Tongue firmly in cheek, of course ;-)I used some of my lovely Jenni Bowlin stash from Banana Frog, Budmo Jiggler stamps for the title and Funky Flowers and Take Note stamped on to old book pages (and believe me, it was very hard for me to rip pages out of a book, even if it was an old one!)
And it's Bank Holiday weekend - always nice to look forward to that extra day off work!
Treasure Chest
I used the April Scrapagogo kit for this layout showing a picture of one of the lovely floral arrangements we saw at Epcot last May during the Flower and Garden festival. Everything is pretty much from either American Crafts or Making Memories, apart from the ribbons and lace!
Scrap Your Day!
I thought I would join in with Shimelle's latest challenge to "Scrap Your Day" - the idea is that on the 25th of every month for a year we take our camera's out with us and snap away, and then record the day in our scrapbook. I was lucky enough to get one of the kits from Shimelle, and I have prepared most of my pages in advance with patterned paper and cardstock so all I have to do on the 25th is take my piccys and write some journalling!
I normally end up using the computer for journalling on something like this but I thought what the heck, just handwrite it - much less bother!
I'm surprised I managed as many pictures as I did (although I totally forgot to get a shot of my alarm clock when I woke up!), some of them like my self portrait were a bit blurry but I used them anyway ;-)
At least the traffic jam I sat in on the M6 coming back from Stafford is recorded for posterity now!
Here's a layout I completed with some of the lovely stash that Bev sent me. I love the colours of these Jenni Bowlin papers - so summery! The picture is my mum and dad in the Magic Kingdom last year, just look at that beautiful blue sky...*sigh*...I need a holiday!
The papers are from Jenni Bowlins Tangerine Dream collection, and I used Paperchains stamps for the title...
And some little flowers from Tropical Garden...
Thought I would share a mini book I made a little while ago with you - I used pictures from Seuss landing at Islands of Adventure in Orlando, and lots of colourful bits and pieces! The front cover is made from felt - I cut out a frame sort of shape from two different colours and stitched them together with a little stuffing in the middle to make a cushion, then attached the photo to the front with embroidery thread through eyelets!
I used little quotes from Dr Seuss throughout the mini book...
Banana Frog, Autumn Leaves and Technique Tuesday stamps...
And some colourful Crate paper too...
