52 Cards Challenge Week 10

Oh my goodness, I can't believe it is week 10 already! Where is the year going?
Prompts for this week were vintage, layers and decorative pins, I think I managed all three! I used lots of vintagey K & Co papers and cut some layers with my Lacey Circles nesties. I also used my antique linen distress ink on everything to give it a bit of that shabby chic look!

It's time to celebrate...

...and this card is particularly apt today as I have some exciting news! I have been having so much fun crafting and making cards recently I thought I would try out for a design team, and guess what? I got in - I am joining the team over at Creative Craft World!
My term starts in April so I am looking forward to joining in with all the great challenges over there on the blog, and I know Lou has some big things planned for this year! I've linked you up to all the other Design Team blogs and also the shop and challenge blog, where you can win a guest DT spot if you join in with the Saturday Scrap Map challenges. Links are over on the left...
Card pictured above uses some Jenni Bowlin papers, Waltzingmouse and Hero Arts stamps, Tim Holtz distress inks, some twine and a little charm I nabbed off a cheapy Primark necklace ha ha!

52 Cards Challenge Week 9

Oooh, look, I've gone all clean and simple! Prompts for this week were lime green, grey and make your own embellishment. I used lime green and grey to stamp the tree and sentiment using Waltzingmouse Teeny Trees set ( which I won during the last Friends of Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz - thanks Claire!) and found some lovely lime green patterned paper in my scraps box. I topped it off with a little homemade flower / button / twine combo :-) . If points were available I would be claiming three of them, ha ha!

Happy Anniversary!

Sunday just gone was my Mum and Dad's 51st Wedding Anniversary (I know! 51 years, amazing, yes?). Hopefully the card I posted last week will have been received by now and it is safe to show you what I made!
I used another digi image from Whimsy Stamps with these adorable bears cuddles up together and used my Promarkers to colour it in. I matted it onto a Lacey Circles die cut, and then added various flowers, brads, leaves and twine. The sentiment is from Pink Petticoat and framed with a Waltzingmouse Holiday Labels 14 stamp.

It's a bit of a departure from my usual style but I really enjoyed making it, and I love the finished product!

Sweetheart...

I am officially In Love with this digi image from Whimsy Stamps! It's called Candyland Dreams, mmmm, yummy! Perhaps it's because I'm on a diet but I certainly had fun colouring in all the sweeties...

I'm not sure if the photo shows how the card is constructed but basically I cut a window in the front with the biggest Lacey Circles nestability (I actually wanted a Lacey Circle in kraft for a different project and this is what was left!) which leaves a scalloped circle behind. I then used a Hambly transparancy to fill in the aperture, and stuck the coloured image to the inside of the card so you could see it through the window. I finished off with some stripy twine and the sentiment from Pink Petticoat, I used a little tag die to cut it out.

Here's a close up of the image - I also used my white pen and some glossy accents to add a bit of shine!

52 Cards Challenge WK 8

Prompts for this week were raspberry, plastic and just because...I think I am claiming all three on this one! The little birdy and the sentiment are digital stamps from Pink Petticoat, I used my Promarkers to add a splash of colour. Patterned paper is Delovely from Cosmo Cricket (love this line!) and I used a nestie Labels 14 die to cut it out. Finished off with a little bit of embroidery thread and a plastic button, and some Glossy Accents to make the birdy nice and shiny!

Just a couple of quick and easy cards for you today - I had some K&Co patterned paper card's from a pad that my mum and I bought and split ages ago so I thought I would just do a quick bit of stamping and embellishing for a couple of cards to go in my card stash!
I made use of my nesties and Waltzingmouse stamps (again!), butterfly punch, buttons, twine and distress inks. Sentiment stamps are from Hero Arts.

52 Cards Challenge WK 7

Well, it's a bit later than normal but here's my card for the challenge this week. The prompts were, purple, monochrome and thanks, as you can see I didn't manage all three! I used a die cut from the Silhouette shop and cut it out on my Robo in two shades of pink and then layered it up to give a bit of depth. I added some dots with my white pen (it's a Uniball Signo if you are interested!) and a couple of sparkly gems, and then I stamped the Thank You sentiment with some grey ink and added some swirls with some Basic Grey stamps. The whole thing then got a coating of Cosmic Shimmer to make it all shiny, but you can't really see that on the photo...

Another Birthday...

I broke out the Cosmo Cricket Delovely for this one - I absolutely love the colours in this range of paper and am hoarding the stash I have left! I used one of my new Lacey Circles nestabilities, layered up a few Prima blossoms and a butterfly, then I used the Craft Robo to cut out the leaves and the banner. I just used a little bit of Glossy Accents to attach the leaves at the bottom so they give the card a bit more depth.

Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz!

It's blog waltz time again! The theme for February is buttons and I have two cards for you! The first one (above) uses Prima papers, grungeboard shapes, lots of sparkly embossing and shimmering mists, although unfortunately you can't really see the sparklyness on the photo. I also used my Waltzingmouse Holiday Label No 14 stamps along with the co-ordinating Nestabilities.

My second card uses what I think are Cosmo Cricket papers, although I am prepared to stand corrected on that! I bought a little pack of 6x6 papers so there isn't any name on them...
The little button border was cut out on my Craft robo and I stitched a couple of buttons onto it. I used Waltzingmouse Holiday Labels No 14 again on here along with Nestabilities Labels 14 and 17.
Thanks for visiting!

Thanks!

I wish I had been able to photograph this card in daylight as this picture just doesn't do it justice! I used some Cosmo Cricket patterned paper (Earth Love), my nestabilities, Waltzingmouse stamps, Hero Art stamps, and a pretty little tree cut on my Robo from a Silhouette design. I cut the tree twice and layered the light on top of the dark one, just offsetting it slightly, and then embellished it with lots of lovely blingy pearls. And would you believe the ribbon is actually green, even though it looks brown in the picture?

Happy Valentines Day!

Are you all having a lovely day? Being showered with chocolates and champagne? Hope so! Anyway, here's a Valentines to share with you all - patterned paper is from a K&Co pad (Amy Butler? Not sure!), Nestabilities, Waltzingmouse and Hero Arts stamps, and the flowers were cut on the Robo. Enjoy!

Happy Day!

Still using up some of the Prima Paisley Road stash...the patterned paper was not my favourite but I think it turned out OK! I cut the lovely damask shape from some hot pink cardstock using my craft robo and it kind of reminds me of the sort of intricate designs you see on henna tattoos, and now I think the card has an Indian sort of feel to it....but that could just be me ;-)
